What better place to start this series of landscape paintings than with a view from my own yard? This is just off the old Oregon Trail looking west. For the pioneers heading west this view was cause for great trepidation as crossing the Blue Mountains was the most formidable part of the journey. Fall in eastern Oregon is an absolutely gorgeous medley of striking colors and crisp inviting weather.
