Old Chief Joseph was a leader of the Wallowa band of the Nez Perce. A notable man in his own right, he was the father of the more famous and apparently mis-attributed quote "...From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever" Chief Joseph. The Gravesite overlooks beautiful Wallowa lake not far from the picturesque town of Joseph Oregon.
